You will need to ask for help, and that is a good thing. More important than knowing when to ask for help, is knowing how to ask for help. In this assignment, you will practice asking for help.
On page 101 in your book, they describe situations where you may need to ask for assistance. Use these ideas as a guideline. Then come up with three real or make-believe requests to ask of your conversational partners. Make three requests for something. Your partners may agree to the request but on a condition. For example: I will help you assemble your bookshelf, but only if you buy pizza for us to eat. Your partners may not agree to help you but they must supply you with a reason why not.
You will make three requests total, one request to each partner. You will need to respond to each request made of you from your partners. You may find it helpful to watch the videos on the DVD to get a better idea of how to make requests.
